The City of Elberton Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court that has the authority under OCGA 36-32-1 to hear and adjudicate misdemeanor traffic offenses and city ordinance violations that occur within the corporate limits of Elberton. The Elberton Municipal Court has the right and power to receive guilty pleas, conduct non-jury trials, and impose sentences in the manner required by law.
Elbert Municipal Court is located at 203 Elbert Street, Elberton GA 30635.
The Elbert Municipal Court may only hear cases involving adults, ages 17 and over. Juvenile Court hears all cases brought against juveniles under the age of 17.
City Court is generally held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Courtroom.
Must Appear Offenses:Court appearance is mandatory for the following charges. Failure to appear on any of these charges may result in the issuance of a bench warrant and suspension of your driving privileges.
