RECYCLING

The City of Elberton provides recycling service to city residents at its drive-through Recycling Center located in the center of Elberton. The Elberton Recycling Center is located at 209 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. (on the bypass by the railroad underpass). Simply drive through the yard and deposit your recycling in the designated outdoor bins. The Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Items to be recycled must be clean and dry. The following items that are accepted:

Newspaper and magazines
Books
Mail, advertisements, junk mail and computer paper
Cardboard such as cereal boxes, pizza boxes, shoe boxes and juice boxes
All grades and colors of glass containers
All grades of plastic bottles and jugs
All types of metal food and drink cans
Aluminum
All types of metal

If you’re a business owner that receives a large number of cardboard shipping boxes on a weekly basis, give us a call. We can arrange for on-site pickup of cardboard if your weekly volume is high.
